49ers sign RB Shaun Draughn

The 49ers are banged up at running back, so they added some help from outside the organization.

San Francisco signed Shaun Draughn, who was released by the Browns two weeks ago, the team announced on Monday.

He appeared in five games for Cleveland this season, registering just 10 yards on two carries.

Draughn had his most productive season back in 2012 with the Chiefs, when he rushed for 233 yards and two touchdowns on 59 rushes.

Carlos Hyde is nursing a stress fracture in his foot, and Reggie Bush (knee) and Mike Davis (hand) sustained injuries on Sunday against the Rams.

Jarryd Hayne, whom the 49ers released on Saturday, cleared waivers and will likely return to the Red and Gold.

Kendall Gaskins, who was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday to replace Hayne, is the only healthy running back on the roster.
