49ers sign former draft pick to practice squad

The 49ers on Wednesday signed safety Curtis Taylor, a seventh-round draft pick of the 49ers in 2009, to the club's practice squad.

Taylor, 27, played in 12 games for the 49ers in 2009 and 2010, mostly on special teams. The 49ers released Taylor prior to the 2011 season. He went to training camp this summer with the Raiders, and was among the team's final cuts.

The 49ers also signed 340-pound nose tackle Lamar Divens to the practice squad. Divens (Tennessee State) was most recently released from the Houston Texans' practice squad in October. He has also spent time with San Diego, Baltimore, Tampa Bay and Tennessee.
