SANTA CLARA – Running back Carlos Hyde will not travel for the 49ers’ game Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.
Hyde, who has a stress fracture on the fifth metatarsal of his left foot, is listed as out for Sunday’s game, the 49ers announced on their injury report before boarding their team flight to St. Louis.
Earlier on Friday, 49ers coach Jim Tomsula said the team would take its decision on Hyde’s status up until 90 minutes before game time when clubs are required to submit their list of seven inactive players.

Tomsula and the medical staff met after practice Friday and the decision was that Hyde was not ready to play this week, a team spokesman said.
Reggie Bush is likely to take over as the 49ers’ primary running back with rookies Mike Davis and Jarryd Hayne to serve as the backups. Hyde ranks ninth in the NFL with 470 yards and three touchdowns on 115 rushing attempts. He has just 95 yards on 31 attempts in the past two games since incurring the stress fracture.
Receiver Anquan Boldin said he would play in Sunday’s game despite being listed as questionable with a hamstring issue.
“It’s no big deal,” Boldin said. “It’s not really my hamstring. My body gets out of line and puts too much stress on one thing and I have to overcompensate. I’m good. I’m in alignment. Just making sure I’m that way every day.”

Boldin said there’s “no doubt” he will able to play.
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick is listed as probable for Sunday’s game after experiencing swelling in his right thumb after the 49ers’ 20-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Thursday. Kaepernick did not miss any practice time this week.
