SANTA CLARA — The 49ers promoted wide receiver Steven Dunbar to the active 53, and may need promote another receiver with the health of the group waning in the final week of the season.
Marquise Goodwin did not practice for the second day in a row, which makes him unlikely to play in Sunday's season finale against the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers could promote wide receiver Max McCaffrey from the practice squad to be available for Sunday's game.
The remainder of the practice report is as expected, with running back Matt Breida and wide receiver Dante Pettis ruled out earlier in the week.

Nickel back K’Waun Williams and tight end Garrett Celek were limited, but all signs point towards them being available to play on Sunday.

Jeff Wilson Jr. will get the start at running back, and receiver Kendrick Bourne will get a lot of playing time against the Rams.
Practice was not complete in Los Angeles as of this writing, but running back Todd Gurley is listed as day-to-day and did not participate in practice on Wednesday. Safety LaMarcus Joyner and outside linebacker Matt Longacre also sat out.
