Running back Raheem Mostert and cornerback Emmanuel Moseley are heading to injured reserve for the remainder of the 49ers' season after sustaining significant injuries Thursday night.
Mostert suffered a fractured right forearm and was scheduled for season-ending surgery Friday. Mostert is expected to return healthy for the 2019 season, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said.
Moseley, who was promoted from the practice squad to make his NFL debut in the team’s 34-3 win over the Raiders, appeared on just three special-teams plays before sustaining a dislocated shoulder. He will undergo season-ending surgery Tuesday.

Mostert had emerged as the 49ers’ No. 2 running back in recent weeks, and he scored his first career touchdown Thursday on a career-long 52-yard run in the third quarter. He sustained a fractured forearm when he stuck out his hand to brace his fall upon being tackled in the third quarter.
In addition to being the 49ers’ best player on special teams, Mostert developed into a big-play running back. He gained 261 yards on 34 rushing attempts for a 7.7-yard average.
The 49ers have two running backs on their practice squad, Jeff Wilson and Matthew Dayes, that they can promote to the 53-man roster behind Matt Breida and Alfred Morris.
