The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have placed LBTravis LaBoy and K Joe Nedney on the Injured Reserve List. The team has promoted TEColin Cloherty and DT Will Tukuafu from the practice squad to the active roster.LaBoy, who played in all 14 games this season and ranked 2nd on the team with 5.0 sacks, suffered a knee injury against the San Diego Chargers on December 16.Nedneyhas been sidelined since suffering a knee injury against the St. LouisRams on November 14. Prior to his injury, he connected on 11 of 13field goal attempts and all 17 PATs this season.Cloherty(6-2, 245) originally entered the league as an undrafted free agentwith the Indianapolis Colts on April 30, 2009. He played in one gamewith the Colts and registered one reception for two yards. Clohertyspent the majority of the 2009 season on the Colts practice squadbefore being signed to their active roster for the season finale. Hewas released by the Colts following training camp this year and wassigned to the 49ers practice squad on October 6.Tukuafu(6-4, 293) signed with the 49ers as a rookie free agent from theUniversity of Oregon on August 12, 2010. He was released followingtraining camp and later signed to the 49ers practice squad on September5. Tukuafu was originally signed earlier this year by the SeattleSeahawks before being released on June 22. Tukuafu totaled 131 tackles,14.5 sacks, five fumble recoveries and four forced fumbles over thefinal three years of his collegiate career for the Ducks.
