49ers place wide receiver Richie James on NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list

Receiver Richie James, who reported to 49ers training camp Santa Clara on Thursday to rehabilitate a fractured right wrist, was placed on the reserve/COVID list on Monday.

Players go on COVID list for the purposes of being placed in quarantine as a result of an exposure to COVID-19 OR a positive test for COVID-19. Teams are not allowed to identify exact reason.

James was eligible to report with the rookies, quarterbacks and injured players due to the offseason injury he recently sustained.

Players took part in their first COVID tests on Thursday. Those with all negative tests were allowed to report to the team headquarters on Monday.
