
Anthony Davis will start 49ers training camp at the bottom of the depth chart, 49ers coach Chip Kelly said on Sunday.
"He knows that going in," Kelly said.

Kelly said that Davis performed well in the 49ers conditioning test on Saturday. He said Davis returns to the 49ers with a clean slate.
The 49ers are scheduled to hold her first practice of training camp on Sunday morning. Kelly met the media before the 49ers first practice.
--Kelly said quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick will split the team's first team repetitions.
There is no time frame for naming a starting quarterback as the 49ers build for the first regular-season game on September 12 against Los Angeles Rams.

"We don't want to get it done sooner and make the wrong decision," Kelly said.
--Safety Jaquiski Tartt, who was placed on the active non-football injury list, has a muscle tweak, Kelly said. Tartt is only expected to only miss a couple days of practice.
--Glenn Dorsey, L.J. McCray and rookie Will Redmond all passed their conditioning tests and are available to practice. Each player sustained a season ending ACL injury last year. Kelly said those players will slowly be worked back into the mix to full-time practice.
--Kelly said he did not know whether Ian Williams' ankle injury is a potential career-ender. "He wasn't going to be able to play this season. I just know that." Williams on Saturday was placed on season-ending reserve/non-football injury.
