Breida leads the 49ers with 542 rushing yards this season, and San Francisco reportedly is keeping him out of the lineup with an eye towards a Week 14 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.
A source told NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco that Staley was not expected to play Sunday, and the veteran tackle will miss his career-high ninth game this season. Prior to 2019, Staley had played in at least nine games in all 12 of his NFL seasons.
