The NFLPA reported the cap space rollover amount for every team headed into the 2019 season, and it looks like the 49ers will have money to burn.
Among all NFL teams, San Francisco has the third-highest amount of money rolling over, with a little over $35 million.
Only the Browns ($56.5 million) and the Colts ($49.1 million) will roll over more money than the 49ers. The Rams had the lowest amount, with only $466,567.

Having a high amount of money to roll over could be seen as a team being cheap, or it could be that the team is being smart and planning ahead.
The 49ers spent more money in 2018 than they did last year, when they had $56 million of rollover money. Only the Browns rolled over more money into 2018, with almost $59 million dollars.
John Lynch and Co. have a lot of room to potentially acquire notable free agents that will be available in the coming months, such as edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence and safety Earl Thomas.
They are also one of the teams that has enough cap room to acquire wide receiver Antonio Brown via trade, if they chose to. It seems unlikely, but the fact that they have the ability makes it a very interesting scenario. Brown himself seems to be entertaining the option on his social media platforms regularly.

The 49ers could also be considering signing DeForest Buckner to an extension instead of waiting until his contract is up and the pressure to reach an agreement is higher.
Kicker Robbie Gould is also a free agent that the team has been in talks with and hopes to re-sign.
Only time will tell how the 49ers will use their money this offseason, but at least now they know exactly how much money is at their disposal.
