49ers flexed out of Sunday Night Football in NFL Week 7 vs. Rams

The NFL has picked the undefeated Chiefs over the one-win 49ers.

It was announced Tuesday that the 49ers no longer will play in prime time during Week 7. They were slated to play the Rams on the Oct. 21 edition of "Sunday Night Football," but that game has been flexed to 1:25 p.m., with the 4-1 Bengals and 5-0 Chiefs taking place of the NFC West matchup.

Being moved out of Sunday Night Football is a big loss for the 49ers. That is the game the team is unveiling their Dwight Clark-Joe Montana statue and wearing throwback 1994 uniforms.

The 49ers still will have plenty of chances to play in front of a national audience this season, if those future times aren't changed as well.

The 49ers' next game is this Monday against the Packers at Lambeau Field, their first Monday Night Football contest of the year.
