Veteran defensive lineman Damontre Moore sustained a fractured forearm in the 49ers’ 37-8 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Moore, 27, an eight-year NFL veteran, will go on season-ending injured reserve, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday.
The 49ers will likely promote defensive lineman Jeremiah Valoaga from the practice squad to take Moore’s spot on the team's 53-man roster.

The 49ers signed Moore on Nov. 13 to fill the roster spot that opened when defensive end Ronald Blair sustained a season-ending torn ACL. Moore played well in his two games with the 49ers, including forcing a fumble to clinch the 49ers’ victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11.
“I know he’s really down because he wanted to be a part of this for the rest of the year,” Shanahan said. “He will be. Going on IR doesn’t mean he disappears, but he won’t be able to go out there any more.
“It was really cool how he played these two weeks. It was exactly like the preseason. He put everything on the line and did everything he could to earn a job. And what he’s done in these two weeks here, just coming right off the street and playing at a high level, getting a huge turnover for us the first week. He did some real good things last week.”
Moore played 34 of the 49ers’ 80 defensive snaps in the win over the Packers. He had three tackles and a quarterback hit on Aaron Rodgers before discovering after the game that he sustained a season-ending injury.

“I can’t tell you how impressed we were,” Shanahan said. “We didn’t know he had a broken forearm until after my press conference yesterday. The guy didn’t tell anybody because he didn’t know it was broken.”

Valoaga, 25, appeared in nine games with the Detroit Lions last season. Valoaga (6-foot-6, 275 pounds) registered five tackles as an undrafted rookie from UNLV.
The 49ers are also giving further evaluations to defensive tackle Jullian Taylor, who had a jaw injury on Sunday night. Shanahan said the 49ers believe Taylor sustained a jaw bruise. He played 25 of the 49ers’ 80 snaps on Sunday night against the Packers. He was credited with two tackles in the game.
