Before the Thursday Night Football game at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, a 49ers cheerleader took a knee during the national anthem.

NBC Bay Area's Damian Trujillo was able to capture a photo of the cheerleader taking the knee. Her identity is unknown at this time.
In 2016, former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the protests against social injustices by taking a knee during the anthem. Several teammates, including former 49ers defensive back Eric Reid, joined him in the following weeks.
