GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Richard Sherman and Matt Breida are active as expected for the 49ers, but starting center Weston Richburg will not play for the first time this season.
Richburg, who had been listed as questionable with a knee injury, is inactive for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, meaning guard Joshua Garnett might have his chance to play. Erik Magnuson likely will take over at center.
Breida, who was questionable all week with an ankle injury, will be active, but it’s likely that he'll work in tandem with running backs Raheem Mostert and Alfred Morris. The 49ers' coaching staff wants to be careful with Breida, especially with a short week ahead -- the team will play the Raiders on Thursday night.

Sherman, who also was questionable all week, felt like he would be able to play, and he will. The cornerback will be matched up against Cardinals veteran Larry Fitzgerald, who also was questionable at different points throughout the week with a hamstring injury.
The Cardinals will have a few former 49ers on the field with both kicker Phil Dawson and offensive lineman Mike Iupati active even though both were listed as questionable all week.
