DENVER — The 49ers lost two players in the first half of their second preseason matchup in Denver.
Safety Adrian Colbert injured his left hamstring as a gunner on a special teams play. Even if he is able to make his way back into the fold before the regular season starts, his future on the team is in question with the emergence of Tarvarius Moore at safety.
Colbert was a seventh-round pick out of Miami in 2017 and had an exceptional finish to his rookie season. The momentum did not carry over to his sophomore year, which ended early due to injury.

Defensive lineman Damontre Moore also left the game early with a thumb injury. The journeyman had a nice outing in the first preseason game -- racking up four total tackles including three solos -- and three quarterback hits.

Moore was brought in to add depth at the defensive line with several players sitting out due to injury. The 49ers are Moore’s sixth NFL team.
