Insider Matt Maiocco confirmed this afternoon that Attaochu was in Santa Clara. The team announced the deal just before 4:30pm PT.

Attaochu was drafted No. 50 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Chargers out of Georgia Tech. As a rookie, he played in 11 games and recorded two sacks. The next season, Attaochu broke out.

As a sophomore in the NFL, Attaochu suited up in 15 games and finished the 2015 season with six sacks and 42 tackles. But, he hasn't lived up to that season the past two years.

Attaochu only played in four games in 2017 and eight in 2016. The 49ers will pay him up to $5.125 million with $2.5 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
