San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski won MLS Player of the Week honors for his hat-trick performance in the Earthquake's 5-0 thrashing of Real Salt Lake on Saturday. Wondolowski also added an assist in the game.
The hat trick was the third of Wondolowski's career, and earned him his fourth career Player of the Week nod and second this season. He has already netted 17 goals through 20 games, putting him on pace to finish with 29, which would break MLS' single-season record of 27.
Wondolowski has lead the 'Quakes to a 12-4-4 record, good for 40 total points and the top spot in the League.

Wondolowski also won MLS Player of the Month honors for June, netting three goals in three games.
