Dominic Artis, the highly rated class of 2012 point guard prospect, has de-committed to the UCLA basketball program.
Artis, a Vallejo native, is currently enrolled at Nevada's Findlay Prep for his senior season after transferring from Salesian High School in Richmond.

He verbally committed to the Bruins after a standout summer session as the starting point guard for the powerhouse Oakland Soldiers AAU squad.
Artis father Derrick told Scouts.com that We just felt like he made kind of a quick decision. He committed before July was over and we just want to make sure we're doing the right thing. We still love UCLA and they're still at the head of his list. We just want to make sure we're making the right decision. We never really let the recruiting process happen, so we just want to make sure we dot our I's and cross our T's."
Before Artis commitment to the Bruins he'd reportedly considered California and Oregon.
