OAKLAND -- The Warriors hoped to get both Andris Biedrins and RonnyTuriaf back for tonights game against the Phoenix Suns at Oracle Arena.Theyll have to settle for just Turiaf. Biedrins is going to have to wait tillMonday when the Boston Celtics are in town.Turiaf, who has been out with a strained left knee, has appeared in just four games this season and hasnt played since Nov. 30. His goalfor tonight is to simply do what he can.Am I in good enough condition mentally and physically toplay 35 minutes a game at a high level?Probably not, Turiaf said after theWarriors morning shootaround.
Would it be better to keep my minutes on thelower side and me still being effective? Probably a good idea, but who knowswhat will happen?Biedrins, who has been out with an abdominal strain, also hasplayed just four games this season and hasnt played since Nov. 8. He's been practicing for the past week, but after talking with coachDon Nelson, decided hed wait another couple of days before returning. They really needed me and Ronny to help out with therebounding and defending big guys, Biedrins said. So Im glad Im about tocome back and help them out.The Warriors have been out-rebounded in 11 of their past 12games.
