STANFORD, Calif.Stanford womens basketball junior forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike was named Pac-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.The announcement marks the fourth time in Ogwumikes career, and first this season, that she has taken home the Pac-10s weekly honor. The Cypress, Texas native thrice earned the honor during her 2009-10 All-America campaign.It is also the second such honor for the Cardinal this season, as Jeanette Pohlen was recognized on Jan. 3.Ogwumikeearned the latest recognition following a weekend in which she averaged18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 64.5 percent (17-for-26)from the field in victories at Washington and Washington State. Sheposted her fifth double-double of the season with 16 points (on 7-of-12shooting) and 11 rebounds in Fridays 80-51 win over Washington, thenwent for 20 points and eight rebounds in Sundays 94-50 rout ofWashington State.Ogwumikeand the No. 44 Cardinal (14-2, 5-0 Pac-10) return home for a pair ofcontests that will shape the top half of the Pac-10 standings. TheCardinal hosts fellow conference unbeaten and top-10 team No. 109 UCLA(15-1, 5-0 Pac-10) Thursday night at 7 p.m., then ends the weekendagainst third-place USC (12-4, 4-1 Pac-10) Saturday at 2 p.m.
