Stephen Piscotty's solo home run in the 6th inning was the only run support that Jordan Pries needed, as the junior right hander from Alameda allowed just two hits in 7.2 innings as the Cardinal defeated 1 seeded Cal State Fullerton, 1-0, on Saturday night. Lefty closer, Chris Reed, recorded the final four outs to notch his 9th save of the year.
The Cardinal are now just one win away from advancing to a Super Regional, and will be back in action tonight at 8:00pm against the winner of Fullerton and Illinois.
