With the Sharks up by a goal and over nine minutes remaining the Stars' Alex Goligoski walked into the Sharks' zone and let rip a wrist-shot directly into the throat of the Sharks defenseman, who promptly hit the ice and headed for the Sharks bench.

Vlasic finished the game with a plus-four differential as the Sharks picked up a critical two points within the Pacific Division.
