While terms of the deal were not released, CSN California has confirmed that it is a two-year agreement. Handzus is unavailable for comment, as he is currently in Slovakia.Handzus was brought in to improve the Sharks' penalty kill, as he led all Kings forwards in shorthanded time on ice. He averaged 2:24 shorthanded minutes per game for the Kings, the fourth best penalty kill team in the league."Michal is an extremely skilled player that has a great mix of size and competitiveness," Sharks GM Doug Wilson said. "He is one of the top penalty killing forwards in this league and has the ability to play in any situation.
