CSNBayArea.com staffGiants manager Bruce Bochy has confirmed that Pablo Sandoval will serve as the Designated Hitter for the Giants when they take on the Texas Rangers in Arlington for Game 3.The Giants have scored 20 runs in two games in San Francisco without a designated hitter but will have the additional offensive help of the DH while they play in Texas.Sandoval, who played at third base and first base during the regular season, struggled this season after breaking out in his first full season in the Major Leagues in 2009.With Sandoval playing DH, Bochy will likely keep Edgar Renteria at shortstop and Juan Uribe at third base.
