The A's have reached an agreement on a multi-year deal with ace Trevor Cahill, according to a report by ESPN.

The deal is pending a physical, and the terms of the contract have not been released.

Cahill, 23, was a first-time All Star last season. This year he was named Opening Day starter by manager Bob Geren, and Cahill has responded by fanning 15 batters while posting a 1.42 ERA in his first two outings.
