NFL.com QB rankings: Alex Smith gets no respect

A couple of surprising elements:

-Eli Manning was ranked 1, ahead of Tom Brady and Drew Brees.

-Aaron Rodgers didn't even crack the top 4. How is that possible?

-Andrew Luck, who hasn't even played a down in the league, sits in the top half of the rankings.

-And from a local standpoint, here are just some of the quarterbacks ranked ahead of Alex Smith: Andrew Luck (16), Andy Dalton (17), Carson Palmer (20), Robert Griffin III (21), Jake Locker (22), Mark Sanchez (23) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (24).

-Here is the blurb that Jason Smith writes about his non-relative, Alex Smith:

25) Alex Smith, San Francisco 49ers: Again, like Dalton, the accolades weren't proportional to his accomplishments. He still only threw 17 touchdown passes in 16 regular-season games. This is Smith's ceiling, or the 49ers wouldn't have gone in as far as they did for Peyton Manning. If nothing else, this list should spark plenty of controversy and debate.
