CSNCalifornia.com staffKings rookie DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended by the team and will not play against the Phoenix Suns, according to a report.AOL Fanhouse writer Sam Amick reports that Cousins was removed from the team plane for fighting with teammate Donte Greene about Greene's decision to get Tyreke Evans the ball on the Kings' final possession of their loss to the Thunder Saturday night.RECAP: Tyreke misses game-winner as Kings fall to OKC
Amick cites two team sources, who say that Cousins was not happy when Greene inbounded the ball to Evans, who missed a potential game-winning three-point shot.After the buzzer, Cousins ran the length of the floor, passing Evans and Greene on his way to the locker room, where Cousins and Greene reportedly had to be separated after exchanging blows.Kings president Geoff Petrie made the decision to remove Cousins from the plane, according to Amick's sources.The Kings issues a statement before their game against the Suns, saying Cousins "will not play in tonight's game while the organization reviews the situation that occurred in the locker room."Cousins is no stranger to controversy since being selected by the Kings with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. He was fined 5,000 in October for an issue with strength and conditioning coach Daniel Shapiro. In late November, Cousins was kicked out of practice by Kings head coach Paul Westphal after the two exchanged words. And on Dec. 23, he made a choking gesture to the Warriors' Reggie Williams while he was at the free throw line, leading Westphal to temporarily remove him from the starting lineup.
