Halak to start in goal for Blues Thursday

Sharks head coach Todd McLellan says the Blues don't play any differently no matter who's in net for St. Louis, whether it's Brian Elliot or Jaroslav Halak.

Their team doesnt play any different. Their goalies are a little bit different size-wise and the ability to play the puck and that type of stuff. Thats a situation that were aware of, that they have the two, and theyre capable of playing two.

Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock announced the one who will be starting tomorrow night in St. Louis, and it will be Jaroslav Halak.

Halak and Elliot combined to help win the Williams Jennings Trophy this season -- that's the award given to the NHL team that allows the fewest goals during the regular season.

Elliot was reported to have left practice early on Tuesday due to an upper body injury, but Hitchcock maintained the injury wasn't serious.

Halak will bring his 26-12-7 record, 1.96 GAA and .926 save percentage to the ice when the Sharks open at Scottrade Center tomorrow night.
