Giants' Mike Krukow, Duane Kuiper describe worst MLB jerseys they wore

Uniform debates are not for the faint of heart. You either love the San Diego Padres’ browns, or you don’t.

The players and managers are forced to wear them, but there are some cases where they didn’t want to.

Giants broadcasters Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper, for example, have lived to tell about their unique uniform stories.

During a recent “Kruk and Kuip with Amy G” segment, the gang talked about sporting the good, the bad and the ugly.

“I had the privilege of wearing the second-ugliest Major League Baseball uniform in the history of the world -- and that was the 1975 Cleveland Indians,” Kuiper said.

Kuiper wasn’t a fan of the all-red look.

But those weren’t the worst ever -- these were:

Kruk detailed a situation where he not only refused to wear the Chicago Cubs’ baby blue pinstripe uniforms, but he actually let out a “boo.” Check out this photo of Krukow himself in the uni.

Over time, the different ways MLB teams have expressed themselves have varied from the usual home whites and road greys. And they’ve certainly evolved over the years.
