Former A's third baseman Eric Chavez has signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees, according to a report.WFAN broke the news via Twitter that the Yankees brought in Chavez as a non-roster invitee.Chavez, 33, has spent his entire career with the A's, including a six-year stretch from 2001-2006 when he won the A.L. Gold Glove award every season.In recent years, however, Chavez was plagued by injuries, as he played in only 154 games since the 2006 season.
