The Cardinal is averaging nearly 46 points per game but it's interesting to note that most of it is coming in the second half. Stanford is putting up an average of only 19 points-per-game in the first half and its average lead is 12.2 points at halftime.
In fact, David Shaw's team has led by 10 or less points in four of six games against some less than top-tier teams.
While the first half numbers arent terrible by any stretch, they do pale in comparison to the 26.8 points-per-game they average in the second half, and their overall margin of victory of 34.67 points-per-game.

This all is almost moot when you look at the defensive numbers. Stanford has allowed zip ... zero ... no points in the first quarter and has completely shut down opponents in 12 of the 24 quarters played this season.
The first quarter and first half defense will be tested this week; the Washington Huskies have a bit of a different trend working. Washington has scored in the first quarter of every game this year, averaging nearly 13 points in the first quarter. Overall, the Huskies average 22 points-per-game in the first half, but dip to 14.67 in the second half.
So, we could see Stanford down in the first half, but dont expect the Cardinal to be down very long in the second half.
