The Giants cut RHP Casey Daigle, RHP Shane Loux, RHP Felix Romero, C Jackson Williams, IF Emmanuel Burriss, IFOF Brad Eldred and OF Darren Ford, according to Giants beat writer Henry Schulman on Twitter.
Burriss and Ford, already on the Giants' 40-man roster, were optioned to AAA-Fresno. The five other players were cut from camp and reassigned.
With the moves, the Giants now have 34 total players left in camp, including six non-roster invitees. Burriss has played in 163 games with the Giants since 2008, including 95 in 2008, when he hit .283 with 13 stolen bases. He played in just seven games with the major league club in 2010. Ford was called up when rosters expanded on Sept. 1, 2010 and immediately made an impact in San Francisco. He entered the Sept. 1 game against the Rockies as a pinch-runner, and scored the game-winning run after stealing third base and advancing home on a throwing error.
