CSNBayArea.com staffThe A's acquired infielder Scott Sizemore from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for left-handed pitcher David Purcey.The A's recalled left-handed pitcher Bobby Cramer to take Purcey's spot on the 25-man roster.Sizemore began the season with Triple-A Toledo and hit .408 with two home runs and 15 RBI in 23 games.

He was the Tigers' Minor League Player of the Year in 2009.Purcey came to the A's from Toronto in exchange for minor-league pitcher Danny Farquhar. Cramer was on the A's Opening Day roster and made three relief appearances before being optioned to Sacramento, where he started four games for the River Cats before landing on the disabled list with a strained oblique.
