Anthony Dixon's holiday workout

Running back Anthony Dixon is fighting for carries in acrowded 49ers backfield. After getting 70 rushing attempts during his rookieseason in 2010, Dixongot just 29 carries last season. With LaMichael James joining the backfield, Dixon could be the oddman out.The running back from Mississippi State live tweeted hisworkout today with photos, showing the hard work he is putting in during theoffseasonor as he called in a tweet, his "4th of July Massacre."Weve compiled a summary of his workout accompanied withsome of his photos.Dixonbegan with a tire-flipping exercise, working a tire he said weighed more than250 pounds 50 yards down the field and later flipping it back up the fieldagain. Dixonaccompanied photos of the exercise with captions such as Power moves and Explosion!

Wrestling with the weight of the tire for 100 yards left Dixon exhausted andcollapsed on top of the tire.Dixonalso hit the more traditional weights, working through a set of 12 arm curlswith 55-pound dumbbells and 20 reps of shoulder shrugs with 125-pound dumbbells.

Dixonmove on to leg presses, pull downs and regular pulls before putting in anotherset of arm curls.

After another set of shoulder shrugs and leg presses, Dixon hit the bench pressbefore working in some side raises and bicep pulls.Dixonfinished off the workout with an ab exercise, rolling a wheel back and forth,and some tricep pulls.Without the workout over, Dixon tweeted a photo of his bath with afinal comment on the days work: "Not fun! :("
