49ers' Trent Williams loves sharing videos of his most vicious blocks

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I could watch Trent Williams block all day?”

Well, you’re in luck.

The 49ers’ newly acquired tackle is re-tweeting a bunch of his highlights that he’s being tagged in on Twitter to show exactly why the team is taking a chance on the seven-time Pro Bowler.

One of the first clips pretty much says it all: “LAWD HAV MUUUURRRRCCCCEYY”

And then it continues after that.

Beyond Williams’ ability to simply lay guys out, he’s ridiculously athletic and, despite being 31-years old, should continue playing in NFL for quite a while.

Former Washington general manager Scot McCloughan said not only is Williams good, but when you bring him on a team, you’re still “going to get three to four years out of him.” He specified those years would be Pro-Bowl caliber seasons as well.

The 49ers’ acquisition of Williams played out beautifully on the heels of long-time 49ers tackle Joe Staley announcing his retirement on Saturday. Staley, a 13-year veteran, even complimented the Williams addition himself.

“It was really important to me that they were able to have a plan in place,” Staley said in a video call Tuesday with reporters who cover the 49ers. “I couldn’t be more excited for Trent to be with the Niners now, just knowing a player of his ability is going to be able to take over that left side and hopefully not miss a beat at all. He’s a tremendous player.”

The 49ers happily will watch Williams cause mayhem on opposing defense next season, and potentially many more years to come after that. Surely, 49ers fans are ready for that.
