Report: Stanford's Fleener will miss drills at Combine

Former Stanford tight end Coby Fleener will not participate in workouts at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis due to an injured foot, according to Rob Rang of CBSSports.com.

Fleener originally injured his ankle during Stanford's heartbreaking 41-38 overtime loss to Oklahoma State in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 3.

He wasn't able to play in the Senior Bowl because of the injury, but has made significant improvement and is expected to make a full recovery.

Fleener caught 34 balls last season for 667 yards and a team-high 10 touchdown receptions.

In 2010, he caught 28 passes for 434 yards, and seven touchdowns -- including a six-catch, 173-yard, three-touchdown performance against Virginia Tech in the Discover Orange Bowl.

Fleener is considered to be a late first-round, or second-round draft pick.

He will attend the Combine and participate in the medical testing and interview process.
