
Chicago high school basketball star Jabari Parker, widely regarded as the No. 1 recruit in the nation, included Stanford on his list of 10 schools.
The senior-to-be posted the names of the 10 schools on Twitter Wednesday.
They are (in no particular order): BYU, DePaul, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina and Stanford.
"I want to make my decision in November if that's possible," the forward told The Associated Press at Tuesday's Gatorade national prep athletes of the year dinner. "I just need to cut it down so I'll be able to go on visits and make my decision from there."The 6-8, 225-pounder said he hopes to reduce his list to five by this fall. He is a student at Chicago's Simeon Career Academy.
Parker was named Illinois' Mr. Basketball and the national Gatorade Player of the Year. Last season he averaged 19.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 3.3 blocks and 1.4 steals per game. Simeon won its third consecutive state title.

He was recently featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, which called him "the best high school basketball players since Lebron James."
His father, Sonny, a Chicago native, played for the Texas A&M Aggies before being selected in the first round of the 1976 NBA Draft (17th overall) by the Warriors. He played in the NBA for six seasons, all with Golden State.
