The NCAA announced on Friday a vote by the Division 1 Council to ban satellite camps, effective immediately.

It was not until roughly 96 hours later the voice everyone was perhaps most eager to hear finally let his thoughts on the vote be heard.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh shared his reaction in an interview with Sports Illustrated, in which he suggested the NCAA’s incompetence resulted in a knee-jerk reaction that should lead to the dropping of the term “student-athlete.”

“The incompetence of the NCAA has reared its ugly head yet again,” Harbaugh said to Sports Illustrated. “I mean, what’s it based on? A survey? There wasn’t a lot of discussion or study. What are the facts? What are the perils and merits of making that decision? It just seemed lacking in that regard.”

Harbaugh also suggested what many have said before; the ACC and SEC spearheaded the outrage over the satellite camp issue (which is not entirely false at all). Harbaugh also mocked the rich college coaches in the south by comparing them to babies (again, not entirely out of line).
