
SAN JOSE -- Freshman Brandon Clarke had a career-high 15 rebounds and 14 points to record his third double-double in the last seven games as San Jose State beat Fresno State 65-53 Wednesday night.
Clarke had 12 points and 14 boards the last time the Spartans faced the Bulldogs in an 81-74 loss last month.

Frank Rogers led San Jose State (8-15, 3-8 Mountain West) in scoring with 17 points. Isaac Thornton and Cody Schwartz each had 12 points for the Spartans. Schwartz, also a freshman, went 14 for 25 from the floor in his last three games.
Rogers' layup tied the game at 35 with 13:43 remaining, and followed with a free throw, a 3 and a layup to make it 41-37. The Spartans never trailed thereafter.
Fresno State (14-8, 5-4) got 12 points from Cezar Guerrero. Karachi Edo had 11 points, seven rebounds and blocked four shots.
