De'Aaron Fox is ready for the Kings to snap their 16-year playoff drought in the 2022-23 NBA season.
Appearing on the "Draymond Green Show" on Friday, Fox explained how this season's Kings squad is the best he has been on.
"This is the most talented team I've had since I've been in the league and it's not even close," Fox told Green.

Boasting a starting lineup of Fox, Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes and Domantas Sabonis, this year's version of the Kings has more firepower than in any of the teams Fox has been a part of in his six-year NBA career.
What's more, free agent signing Malik Monk, second-year guard Davion Mitchell, rookie Keegan Murray and an assortment of veteran and young players can give the Kings a spark off the bench when needed.
Considering a number of teams in the Western Conference will be fighting to nab the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Kings have ample weapons to outscore most teams.
Most importantly, general manager Monte McNair hired former Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown to instill a defensive mindset in a team that had been sorely needing it. Brown's hiring signaled a change in ideology, one that Fox welcomes.

"One of our problems has been, we've been terrible defensively," Fox added. "And we know it, you know it, everybody knows it. We've been horrible.
"So to bring in somebody like that is definitely going to help us and just push, me personally, to be a better defender. I know I can be it and he knows I can be it."
The Kings' newfound focus on the defensive end is no secret; Fox stated previously that he is "extremely confident" in Sacramento's chances to make the playoffs because of their defense.

Although the Kings dropped their first two games of the season against the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers with Fox scoring 33 and 36 points, respectively, the fan base has to be optimistic that Brown is holding players accountable for their mistakes.
If Sacramento is able to learn from its mistakes, the sky is the limit for this talented group.
