Kings coach Mike Brown likely will take home the 2022-23 NBA Coach of the Year award on Tuesday night.
Sacramento's general manager, Monte McNair, believes the vote should be unanimous.
McNair joined "Kings Pregame Live" prior to Game 2 of Sacramento's first-round NBA playoff series against the Golden State Warriors at Golden 1 Center, where he discussed Brown's impact on the upstart Kings and why he is deserving of the award.
"A lot of times you have an idea of what a coach could be, but fit matters and Mike is the perfect fit for this team," McNair told NBC Sports California's Kyle Draper, Kenny Thomas and Matt Barnes. "He's got so much out of everybody from 1-to-17 on the roster and then to come in and face the most experienced team in these playoffs with one of the least experienced and to win Game 1 in a hard-fought battle when you're down by 10. Your head coach plays a big part in that, Mike's been fantastic and deserves Coach of the Year. It should be unanimous."
The veteran coach led the Kings to an impressive 48-34 record this season, good for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

Brown is one of three finalists for the award alongside Oklahoma City Thunder coach Mark Daigneault and Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla, and is considered to be a near-lock to win it. But will the vote be unanimous?
