King star Domantas Sabonis officially has been ruled out for the team's matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center due to a right hand injury.
Sacramento announced on Monday that Sabonis suffered "an avulsion fracture of the ulnar collateral ligament of the right thumb" during its loss to the Washington Wizards on Friday night.

Sabonis initially was listed as questionable for the game against the Nuggets and the Kings did not rule him out for an extended period of time when they announced the injury Monday.
With Sabonis missing his first game of the season, veteran center Alex Len will start in his place, acting head coach Jordi Fernandez told reporters before the game.
Per The Sacramento Bee's Jason Anderson, Fernandez told reporters that Sabonis will be re-evaluated Wednesday ahead of the second game of a back-to-back with the Nuggets.
Fernandez is stepping in for coach Mike Brown, who was placed in the NBA's health and safety protocol earlier Tuesday.
Sabonis is having an All-Star-caliber season for the Kings, as he is averaging 17.9 points and an NBA-best 12.4 rebounds in 31 games.

Without Sabonis, the Kings will rely on Len and Richaun Holmes to fill the void at center.
