The Kings reportedly will be without Alvin Gentry on Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards after the interim head coach tested positive for COVID-19, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
The Athletic's Sam Amick reported, citing a source, that Doug Christie will serve as acting coach for the game.

The Kings canceled their morning shoot-around, sources told Wojnarowski, and have yet to name an acting coach for Wednesday's game at Golden 1 Center.
Gentry, who confirmed his positive test to Wojnarowski, will need two negative tests 24 hours apart to return to the bench. Gentry told Wojnarowski that he's asymptomatic except for a "scratchy throat."
Doug Christie and Mike Longabardi are the primary candidates to assume the Kings' head-coaching position while Gentry is out, Wojnarowski reported.

The Kings are 5-7 since Gentry took over when Luke Walton was fired on Nov. 21. After opening the month of December with a three-game winning streak, the Kings (11-17) have lost three in a row to fall back to 10th place in the Western Conference.
