Malik Monk is ushering in a new era of Kings fashion.
After bringing back the "Band-Aid on the face" look, Monk is also introducing another new look: a suit with fuzzy slippers, courtesy of Kings general manager Monte McNair.

Before the Kings' 123-96 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday at Crypto.com Arena, McNair explained how the "suit with the fuzzy slippers" look came to be.
"Malik was wearing some very bright and fancy slippers during our Miami trip and in practice, we were talking about it," McNair said. "And we're the same size and Malik was trying to get me to wear them and I said, 'You know what? We got one win in the books. We win five in a row and I'll wear them.' "
Not only did the Kings win five games in a row, but they also won seven straight contests, the longest streak in over a decade.
A man of his word, McNair rocked the fuzzy slippers Saturday -- which he called "Dr. Seuss" slippers --- and seemingly enjoyed the look.
"Time to show out and hopefully, we keep winning five in a row," McNair added. "If Malik wants me to wear something else, we could talk about it."

Along with the "Beam Team" and the "Light the Beam" chants following the Kings whenever they win, this Sacramento squad certainly is different from those of seasons past.
NBA
This Kings team is unafraid to be different -- just ask Monk and his fashion choices.
But considering how well Sacramento has played to start the 2022-23 NBA season, that's just the way fans would like it.
