Richaun Holmes' mom reacts to son breaking quarantine rules in Orlando

Mom knows best.

For Lydecia Holmes, the mother of Kings center Richaun Holmes, she knows the only food worth breaking rules for is her own home-cooked meals.

If only Richaun remembered that.

Holmes is in quarantine for the next week after he broke NBA rules in Orlando and crossed the Disney World campus line. He was picking up his food delivery and wandered off too far.

"You only cross the line for your MOMA’s COOKING!" Holmes' mom tweeted Monday. In the way only a mom can, she also ended her tweet with "Love you baby!"

"I apologize for my actions and look forward to rejoining my teammates for our playoff push," Holmes said in a statement.

Holmes had to go into quarantine for the next 10 days after breaking the rules. He said Monday that he has eight days remaining, bring that number now down to one more week. While Holmes will not miss any of the Kings' exhibition games or the season restart, he will not be able to work out with the Kings for over the next week.

The 26-year-old big man has enjoyed a breakout season for Sacramento. Holmes has averaged a career-high 12.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game over 39 games.

The Kings play the Miami Heat in their first exhibition game on July 22. They also face the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers before their season restarts against the San Antonio Spurs on July 31.
