Rapper Ja Rule tweets ‘fyre' at Timberwolves who face Kings Monday night

Is it me, or is it apparent that Ja Rule can't catch a break?

During Saturday's Timberwolves-Bucks game, the rapper performed during the halftime show in Milwaukee on "90's night." And -- well, it didn't turn out to be a performance he was probably used to -- and the T-Wolves made sure he heard it:

Prior to the performance, as Ja was addressing the crowd, he was asking "Are we ready?" And while that could signify things were about to get started, he was asking if everything on the technical side was good to go.

Was he actually going to be able to start his performance on time?

"I guess not," he said to the crowd.

The music started and all seemed to be under control. At least for the time being.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn't fazed by the fact Ja Rule was still mid-performance when he was warming up.

The Timberwolves themselves took to social media and made some facetious comments geared towards Ja's involvement in the infamous Fyre Festival that never happened.

Ja responded by putting a curse on the team.

Basketball curses from rappers isn't a new trend. Just ask rapper Lil B. He almost makes a living from placing curses on basketball players who talk down about his music and dance moves.

But will this Ja-curse work?

The Kings will face Minnesota on Monday night. So far, Sacramento has defeated the T-Wolves in their first two matchups of the season -- those, of course, took place at home, so it will be interesting to see if the team will be "livin' it up," or if the Kings, too, will be hoodwinked.
