
Matt Barnes turned himself into NYPD on Wednesday, CSNBayArea.com has learned.
The Kings forward received a desk appearance ticket and was booked on misdemeanor assault for his involvement in an nightclub incident on Dec. 5.

Barnes was released without bail. He will be due in court in Manhattan on March 3.
"He was issued a ticket," Barnes attorney Alex Spiro said. "We deny the allegations and will answer them in court."
When contacted, the Kings issued the following statement: "This is an ongoing legal process and we do not have further comment."
Barnes, 36, is averaging 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 24.2 minutes per game for the Kings this year.
