Kings vs. Heat live stream: Watch NBA restart scrimmage online, on TV

The NBA is back! Well, kind of.

The Kings will play in their first of three scrimmage games Wednesday night before the regular season restarts in Orlando. Sacramento will take on the Miami Heat at the HP Fieldhouse with a 5 p.m. PT tip-off.

As the NBA restarts, the Kings (28-36) are in a three-way tie with the Portland Trail Blazers (29-37) and New Orleans Pelicans (28-36) for the ninth seed in the Western Conference. The Miami Heat (41-24) have been a bit of a surprise with Jimmy Butler leading the way, and currently are the No. 4 seed in the East.

The Kings, along with the Blazers and  Pelicans, trail the Memphis Grizzlies by three and half games for the eighth and final playoff spot. If the ninth-place team is within three and a half games of the eighth-place team after the eight-game seeding schedule, there will be a play-in game with the No. 8 seed having a double elimination and the ninth seed having a single-game elimination.

But the Kings are hurting right now. Marvin Bagley is out for the season after spraining his right foot, De'Aaron Fox still is rehabbing an ankle injury and Harrison Barnes remains in Sacramento after testing positive for the coronavirus.
