SACRAMENTO -- Not ready for the rivalry.
The Kings looked every bit the part of a tired team playing on the second night of a back-to-back when they hosted the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.

Outside of guard De’Aaron Fox, the Kings struggled to make shots, and the Lakers walked away with a 101-86 victory at Golden 1 Center.
Here are three takeaways as the Kings fell at home to drop to 7-6 on the season:
Fox vs. Ball
Whoever made the decision to draft Lonzo Ball over De’Aaron Fox in the 2017 NBA Draft owes Lakers fans an apology. Sacramento is more than happy with Fox, and Saturday night’s game was just another example of why.
NBA
Fox attacked Ball off the dribble and rained down 3-pointers from behind the arc. He finished the game with a team-high 21 points on 8-for-17 shooting and added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in the loss.
The competition wasn’t even close. Ball made a few nifty passes, but his shot still is all over the board, and he is nowhere near quick enough to stay with Fox. Ball scored four points on 2-of-10 shooting and added four assists.
Quiet superstar
LeBron James has been torturing the Kings since the first day he walked onto an NBA court way back in 2003. He doesn’t put on the same show he once did, but the 33-year-old superstar still knows how to get his numbers.
The sure-fire Hall of Famer dropped in 25 points on 10-for-18 shooting and chipped in seven rebounds.
Lid on the basket
The Kings struggled with their shots all night long. Buddy Hield finished 3 of 17 from the field. Nemanja Bjelica hit just 1 of 6.
Almost every player not named De’Aaron Fox struggled. As a team, the Kings shot just 34.8 percent from the field and hit 6 of 25 from behind the 3-point line.
The Lakers played aggressive defense, but the Kings over-dribbled and showed poor shot selection from the opening tip.
