SACRAMENTO — Former teammates Peja Stojakovic and Vlade Divac have been inseparable in Sacramento since the pair joined the Kings’ front office in 2015. A sounding board and confidant to Divac, Stojakovic spent his first few seasons as the team’s Director of Player Personnel before being elevated to the Kings’ Vice President of Basketball and Team Development.
On Wednesday morning, Sacramento announced that the former All-Star forward has accepted a promotion to Assistant General Manager.
Stojakovic’s expanded role will include many of the same duties he’s overseen since joining the the franchise, including player development and oversight of the team’s G-League team, the Stockton Kings.
Both Brandon Williams and Ken Catanella will continue in their current roles, giving the Kings three Assistant General Managers under Divac.
